How many keys registered on your car?

I'm sure my old S4 used to have 2 keys registered, but I was playing with settings tonight and I notice the RS has 3 keys?? I'm sure I've only got 2!



Is this right, or does somebody somewhere have a key to my car?

Mine is the same - I think the little plastic emergency key is the third one.

Mine too, although not sure the little plastic one can be programmed to the car
Been the same on all my recent audi's. Two keys present and 3 programmed
Car's going into dealer for alignment/LKA calibration next Tuesday, so I'll ask

It's 3 as standard, two real keys and the plastic emergency key. That's why you get the emergency key adapter in the glovebox.

But I don't think the plastic key has a chip, so can't be programmed to the car, no ?
To be honest, I've never had a good look at the plastic key, so I'm happy to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a chip

When i had to reprogram my spare (came with the wrong key!) i saw it had 3 registered and thought exactly what the OP did!

I checked the glovebox key on mine today, and it certainly doesn't start the engine
In fact, it's just a plastic case with no extractable 'key' or any chip or coding (I'm actually a little lost as to what it's for at all to be honest)

Fwiw, my car also has 3 keys programmed to it, so the third is a mystery to me

Is everyone else's glovebox key the same as mine ?

You should have a third that comes on the tag with the VIN on it. If you haven't got it, someone else has!

I have the third and the VIN tag, but like the plastic glove box fob, they're not chipped
