New RS4 Dealer/Broker discount ?

Post by CSK423 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 11:29 am

Exploring all avenues in moving on from my current S5 and I've came across the current RS4 pcp deal (4.9%apr).

For it to become an affordable option I would need a reasonble discount from list, I don't want to have to pump circa 8k deposit into the deal.

Orange wheels are just under 10%, I'm waiting on a couple of dealers coming back.

Keen to hear from others and what they managed ? or if other deals can be had ?

cheers

I got 10% plus a £2k finance contribution, I could have done slightly better through 'drive the deal' but preferred to stay with my local dealer, all in all I got around £8k discount. HTH

Prism
Black pack
privacy
roof
alcantara heated
sports pack
tech pack advanced
hill hold
side assist
rear airbags
B & O
boot liner

The only question mark is the wheels, I've ordered V spokes but may go for the silver rotors and get them powder coated leaving the rims silver as per the brochure. I agonised over the sports pack because I think the standard set up is better with a good after market exhaust, but a number of factors put me off going that route. I have a couple of minor mods planned but nothing serious. Roll on March!!!

I managed to get a 2k contribution towards the deposit from audi Manufacturer plus a 5 k discount of the price from my audi dealer. Quite happy with the deal they offered in the end. 7k total

Various dealers came back with similar disc. the average was 10/11% off a basic car. (5-6k)

Works out circa £645 a month (3.5k deposit) over 4 yrs for a base car.

I don't want to pay that much for a basic car.

I'll do a bit more shopping about but seems this is what you pay with a low end deposit, I'll look at other options.

You're not going to get a better deal. If you don't take Audi's finance, which rate is very good, you don't get the extra 2k contribution.

I can't remember all the details but I managed £699 pm, £5k in over 4 years on £64k car.

It's all in the timing, finding the right guy at the right dealer who'll do the right deal.

EDIT - I took the GAP and LifeShine thingy too.

VW finance do the maths not the dealer, only variables for a given car are deposit, length of lease and residual.

Yes, but if you get the right business manager/salesman you'll get what you want.

EDIT - time of the month (ooh err) is also a factor.

I'd agree with that. The dealer can negotiate with VW finance in certain cases and already have a small tolerance on the rates themselves
