Head bang boot lid!

Post by Crash_Master » Sun Jul 27, 2014 10:41 am

Probably being a window licker but I keep whacking my head on the boot lid latch when it's open.

I'm 5' 10" tall and duck down initially but I'm sure it moves intentionally to catch my head on the way out.

read the handbook you can adjust the stopping height but i cant remember at the mo,i'm 6,4 and dont have a problem, you can also stop it on the up stroke by pressing the button again if you dont want it fully open so the rain dont piss in off the window

The method is:

Once the boots open, you physically move it to the height you want and then press and hold the actuation button on the boot until the right hand indicator flashes. Once that's happened the open height has been reset to your selected height.

I'm guessing the key reason for this is incase you've got something on roof racks ... Like a kayak and you can't allow the boot to open to high

Oh yeh, I knew this because my wonderful salesperson/girl showed me when I picked my new RS4 up on Friday (2 exciting days ago)
