New deals

Post by OL55 » Tue Jul 01, 2014 12:04 am

Hi all,

Just currently doing my homework on a new car, list will be just under £64k for my desired spec. What sort of discount should I be expecting? I've so far spoken to a broker and a couple of dealers and sounds like £6.5 - £8k maybe possible. Any advice on this would be great. I don't desperately need to buy the car and only really want to do it if I feel like I'm getting a great deal, helps offset the depreciation for a little while! I've heard of some people getting £10 - 12k off but a dealer told me that sort of discount is totally impossible.

Many thanks in advance!

I've been offered just under £8K discount on a £63K car which goes into build anytime so I cant change the build. The discount is made up of £5K bottom line and 3K deposit contribution and low rate PCP which is mandatory if you want the deposit contribution. I think this was based on the last quarter deals which ended yesterday so it might not be available now. That said this quarter's deal might be better so please share if you get offered a better deal.

Cheers
Paul

The lucrative deal has gone, Many of us saw unto 11K off list.

Audi's contribution is around the 3-4k mark presently so upto 7k i'm sure would be possible off list.

My dealer rang last week to tell me that Audi had tried to back out of my discount unless they added 3k into the deal as they'd made an error in honouring the March deal.

Unfortunately myself and the salesman have the deal offered on email from Audi UK and in black and white on my order. Cheeky feckers!!!!!!!

When I ordered mine about 6 weeks ago I got £7,600 off a £65.5k ROTR price. That was for a cash deal via a broker and seemed pretty good to me.

Thanks all that's helpful, just wanted to know roughly where I should be.. I generally have the approach of 'if you don't try you don't get'. I'll keep you posted with the progress!

Many thanks

Tbh, they are a lot less appealing now if that's all the discount available.

Can anyone give me an opinion on this deal I have been offered please?

Vehicle Price: £45,866.67
Basic Price: £51,383.33 (Vehicle price plus £5,516.67 in options)
Discount: £3,596.83
Delivery Charge: £491.67
Sub total: £48,278.17
*VAT: £9,655.63
First Reg Fee: £55.00
Vehicle Excise: £860.00
Total Price: £58,848.80

Cash from Cust: £8,750.00
Finance Deposit: £2,000.00

Finance Due: £48,098.80
Balance Due: £8,750.00

This works out thus:

Deposit: £10,750 (inc VAT)
48 Payments of: £641
Acceptance fee: £125
Optional final payment: £24,296.25

They certianly dont make the sums easy, reading this forum I should be able to achieve another £3k or so off this price? I really want to get the payments down the £600 ideally.

The 4k (inc VAT) they are offering is the basic deal, I'd expect there to be more from the dealer, but this is their decision as a business. Try another dealer.

You're already at 48 months on the PCP - can you put more in up front?

Many thanks for your help!!

This is his first offering, so I am yet to really pan out a "deal" with this guy. I suspected he would be giving away the bare minimum on the first offering of course.

I could afford to put more in up front but I would rather get the total knocked down!

Any guideline on what a reasonable deal would look like with the above?

I struggled to get anywhere near what would in total be a 9-10K discount. What I will say is my car is priced at a similar value yet my option to buy at 48 months is £1400 more. That's £30PM there. This could be because of the options you have chosen don't the same residual value.

The options were actually partly led by the dealers recommendation for residual value (I probably wouldn't have bothered with the B&O)

Black styling pack - RS4: £387.50
Electric folding and auto dimming door mirrors: £241.67
Metallic - Mythos black: £512.50
Privacy glass: £275.00

Fine nappa leather - Black + bucket seats with Rock Grey stitching: £1,779.17
Heated front seats with individual controls and variable temperature adjustment ( PACK OPTION ) £0.00

Sports package - RS4 with 20" 5 V spoke alloy wheels £1,875.00
20" 5 V spoke design polished titanium alloy wheels ( PACK OPTION ): £0.00
Sports exhaust ( PACK OPTION ) £0.00
Dynamic ride control ( PACK OPTION ) £0.00

Put it to a broker (Broadspeed or similar) and see what they come back with.

Broadspeed came out at £55,471 which is £3377.80 cheaper than my quote (or around £70pcm).

Drivethedeal.com came out at £54,971 BUT "hope to be able to offer these models again soon."
