They also let me have a play in their R8 V10 Plus for a while too. Now that thing is on a different level.

Great news, Abyss. Do you know when you'll be eyes-on?Abyss wrote:Mine is currently sitting at uk portMarch the 1st can't come soon enough
Whatever you do, don't ever get out of one and straight into your RS4 as it'll feel like it's brokenMoontang wrote:

I waited about half-an-hour then jumped in my RS3 *underwhelmed* I've been thinking of ways to acquire one for the last 24hrsGraeme4130 wrote:Whatever you do, don't ever get out of one and straight into your RS4 as it'll feel like it's brokenMoontang wrote:

I've been quite relaxed until now. But getting a bit giddy now we're nearly there. Just got to sort out, plate, insurance, tracker, roof/bike rack, detailing.......in fact, that lot could take me until March
Better a detailer preps it than the dealer with their brillo....steviefleming wrote:Moontang wrote:Great news, Abyss. Do you know when you'll be eyes-on?Abyss wrote:Mine is currently sitting at uk portMarch the 1st can't come soon enough

Detailing ???...............are you getting the car detailed as soon as you buy it ?
I've had my fair share of FOD crashes over the yearsMoontang wrote:I waited about half-an-hour then jumped in my RS3 *underwhelmed* I've been thinking of ways to acquire one for the last 24hrsGraeme4130 wrote:Whatever you do, don't ever get out of one and straight into your RS4 as it'll feel like it's brokenMoontang wrote:

Enjoyed your hire car vid, Graeme. VERY amusing. And the clip from FoD, you had your shake on there...
Ive been quoted between 6 &700 for full detail and seal...still not sure whether to go with it or not...steviefleming wrote:Mmmmm.....okay , never thought of that.
I bought lifeshine from Audi when I got my S5 last year but I wasn't impressed and told them not to bother with the Rs4 I have on order.
How much would a detailer roughly cost to do the lifeshine equivalent ?

I'd also not want to be without my car for two days after just getting itN13LXC wrote:Its not really a lot when you take it as 16 hours labour. 2 full days working on 1 car + materials/consumables + normal business overheads. Seems about right. And when you take the dealers protection as around 400, applied with a brillo!
I get where you're coming from tho, a good washing regime will deliver a good looking car without spending that money!
An even more valid point!steviefleming wrote:I'd also not want to be without my car for two days after just getting itN13LXC wrote:Its not really a lot when you take it as 16 hours labour. 2 full days working on 1 car + materials/consumables + normal business overheads.
