Ok, firstly, I had a great experience at Bristol Audi. They were to notch, gave me both the iphone and USB adapter for the car plus a nice Audi keying and Audi metal tax disc holder. Silly little things like that always make a difference, it's the thought that counts.

Now, the car. What a beauty, better than I had imagined. They had it sitting in a dedicated room which had glass door leading out to the front of the dealership. Pristine condition and they seemed to have treated the paint work with a decent amount of respect. After completing a thorough walkthrough and then an even more thorough walkthrough of all the paperwork I was ready to leave. The car felt very tight as you would expect, snapping into every gear with the exhaust burbling and popping at every opportunity. Unfortunately my drove home mainly consisted of the M4 which whilst being busy was not exactly enthralling driving.

Looks like need to get a sim for the data as my phone does not support wrap, will pop to tmobile tomorrow and pick one up. The car is light years ahead of my old BMW, really is a big step up, can see people being tempted out of b7'sinto b8's for the interior alone.

Cannot wait to get a few more miles on the car and take her to some better road.

To the b7 avant brigade who seem to be lurking here a lot since millbrook...ask yourselves is the b8 really a 35k better motor than you have? ....no way Pedro IMO..if your really looking to move on surely the c6 is a better option...and will save you loads of doe..

BTW if you have an iphone, it doesnt support SAP (sim access profile) and thats probably your issue - it will use Bluetooth to connect, just not the car-phone/google maps etc. Te dealers really should ask what phone you have when people spec phone high.
Other smartphones do work such as samsung etc..

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020 which does not support rSAP but with the new MMI you can have a sim for data and a phone for calls. Tmobile do a sim with unlimited data for £20 for 6 months.
