Towing

So, road tested both an RS4 B8 and an S4, the S4 was great , but the RS well it just brought it all back for me.

Clearly we want the RS, had an RS B7 and an RS6, and need a V8 back in my life

The downside as ever is towing. I need to be able to tow my race car.

If I can get down to one vehicle that means we can get the rs sooner, however the misses is keen to keep two vehicles, with the non rs being used for towing duties

I remember reading some time ago that Audi offered/approved a tow bar for the b7 RS4 in New Zealand

Does anyone know if a towing option exists for the b8 RS ? The dealer said no, and they reckon its due to the bumpers?

Hi, it is my white B8 RS4 in the pic with the towbar. It is my understanding that I have a standard A4 towbar with a special RS4 electrical package (although someone better informed may correct me). The dealer had to cut the rear bumper/diffuser to make this fit, the hole is in the black ribbed section on the underside, is filled by the tounge (?) of the towbar and is not visible from normal standing position. The overall installation is very neat and tidy and I am pleased with the result. I guess it's fair to say that I am somewhat fussy with this sort of stuff and would not have been satisfied if the job was not done well.
