Engine run in/braking in

RS3 got me through the winter while waiting for the RS4, never had any issues in the snow even with standard 19s. Unfortunately child number 2 on way so wife would not get rid of Q5 and she keep RS3 (she didnt like the buckets, even more so when 20 weeks pregnant)
C63 was epic, nothing sounds like it even more so when knocking around town, a bit bling in white with the black wheels
the M3 was more sedate but i think a better car than the Merc, both however were <beep> in the snow and resulted in various company vans etc when the weather dictated
the wife had an S3 Sportback and a S4 2010 Avant (which she still complains that i sold) have the family wagon Q5 now, did however have the SQ5 on demo on Monday and that is tremendous, if only the dealer could confirm build date and I would order now. off the mark it feels as quick as my RS4
The RS4 has been a long time coming, put name down in April 11, had the chance of a new B7 when I bought the M5, should have bought it and would have still owned today

Fwiw, I picked mine up from Audi bath yesterday and questioned then about running in
They told me that there was no need to run in, but to just not be too hard on it (such as a track day) in the first few hundred miles
Other than that, just always warm it through before gunning it
