Re: first impressions after test drive
NICKYBOY on your car Its down by the cupholder along with the parking sensor button and esp buttons because you do not have tech pack or mmi .ON cars with tech pack and mmi those buttons would in a row above the heater controls .
first impressions after test drive
Yes he is, I stand corrected! The button for the hill hold is very similar to the start stop - well it has an A on it!blackphantom wrote:NICKYBOY is correct the A button is for hill hold assist ive got it on mine {2010} S4 model and don't have start stop.Nickyboy wrote:This one matelongdog wrote: The"A" button is for the stop start system nothing to do with hill hold.

Re: first impressions after test drive
I ran a S4 for 2 years and during that time it is my understanding that they are 2 separate systems. My car would not roll back even without the "A" button engaged. Maybe you should read the manual again instead?blackphantom wrote:You clearly don't know what your on about,i suggest you look at the cars handbook.vjma wrote:The Hill Hold thing has NO button. The "A" button next to the handbrake button is Auto Brake, and has nothing to do with Hill Hold. Hill Hold engage the brake when you go uphill. It activates when you step on the brake pedal and come to a complete stop. If you do that then the car wont move unless you step on the accelerator. It will also disengage after 2 seconds if you are not stepping on the brake pedal. The auto brake is another features that is like the hill hold but works regardless of the situation and it is very annoying. Most people do not use it.
Re: first impressions after test drive
Yes you're right. I have MMI and the other parts of tech pack low just not the nav and location of the controls. I was too poor and early in my working life to justify the extra cost basically. Next time.blackphantom wrote:NICKYBOY on your car Its down by the cupholder along with the parking sensor button and esp buttons because you do not have tech pack or mmi .ON cars with tech pack and mmi those buttons would in a row above the heater controls .
