You see several B7s on 04 or 54plates, but they're personal plates e.g. RS 04 xxx or xR 54 xxx.

For example, mine has an RS 04 xxx plate but was registered in July 2006.

More details coming through on the S6, S7 and S8. We already knew they were going to share the same 4.0 V8.

"S6 and S7 twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8. 414bhp and 406lb ft from 1400rpm to 5300rpm."
"S8 twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8. 513bhp and 479lb ft from 1700rpm to 5500rpm."

Posted as this bodes well for the RS4...........

I actually think they will go the V6 route now, like BMW will go with the new M3...
SO I think it will be the S4 engine but highly tuned

New to this site as I am looking for a nice B7 RS4 avant at present due to new baby 9 weeks ago! (ex M3 owner just sold)

So hello all!

This YouTube vid does sound like a V8 to me and it'll most likely be the unit from the Rs5 444bhp.. Let just hope it doesn't handle like an RS5! :audibash:

I'm intrigued!

Hi All

Returning to the site after a break (and lost my original log-in details)

Used to have an RS4 B5 but moved away from Audi (two 997's and now a C63) but thinking about coming back.

I have been speaking to my friendly Audi dealer today and he tells me that in Germany (where I live) orders for the new RS4 will open in Calendar week 22 next year. Get you cheque books ready!

Interesting that there is no mention of an RS4 in the 2012 facelift press information, it states that the range topper will be the S4?? :?

Surly its worth waiting and ordering a year in, in case they do a face lift model.

In Autocar this week, new RS4 has the same engine as the RS5.

Won't be buying one of those then.
