Capristo

Post by smudge » Wed Jun 11, 2014 10:50 pm

So, just in time for Le Mans, I have had my standard system switched for a Capristo. Am I happy? Hell YES! The cars sound is just what I was looking for, it is totally transformed & now the RS sounds more like the car I want it too. In comfort mode she pootles along, nice & vocal, but nothing too heavy. Flick her into sport mode or dynamic / individual & boom, the sound is bloody lovely.

Sadly getting to the point of having the system installed was a tad frustrating due to City Link loosing it for a while. But Scuderia Systems eventually promised to either get me a new system in time for LM if the delivery didn't show up in time. Low & behold, a few snooty emails & city link found the box. Sadly on the day of install at Cam-Spec (http://www.camspeconline.com) we discovered that one of the mounts & end tips had been knocked quite heavily. Another call to Scuderia & they agreed to for the damaged part to be fitted for Le Mans & then swap it over when I return.

I'm struggling to get a video decent enough to show it off, but hopefully some clips from my GoPro down to LM will assist here..... So for now, here are a couple of photo's of the system being swapped:

I was going to say I can't make it, but seeing as I'm only going to be at the TG track, I'm sure a plan can be made!

Me too, I'm potentially interested in one

Smudge, IIRC, your car had the sports exhaust on before, right ?
How much louder than Sports exhaust valves open is the capristo with valve closed ? Is it comparable ?

I think It just sits behind the tips you already have or if you don't have the black tips I'm sure they do them.

No, I only had the standard zorst, hence the chrome ends in the bumper. Clips from LM2014 are on their way......

Oh yeah, I see on the pics now. How much louder than the standard ones when the capristo is on valves closed then ?
