Anyone AK61 AOT?

Why?
Because it was in an Audi UK auction attended by plenty of main dealers and didn't see even though it was grade 1 i.e. mint.
The book price seems a bit out of date as dealers are knocking out for only a bit more than Cap Clean at the mo so maybe that was it?

Well it's up for sale at Wolverhampton Audi

http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-ca ... c=se_na_re_

Price is good but.........there is always a reason in my experience.

No, I don't think you can spec the black optics with the Alu pack, looks wrong, so do the wheels in just black

In your defence Mr Hedgehog I've seen a couple with the "Chav" rims and in the flesh they do look a lot better than in the picture but I think they only really work on red or white cars(must have black styling pack).

Sorry. Couple of typos.
Title should be ' does anyone know ak61 aot' and I said 'it didn't see' instead of 'it didn't sell', apologies.
Thanks for the info that is indeed cheap but there is a 12 reg at Cheshire oaks audi with just 3k miles for £36k so makes sense on that basis or even seems a bit dear.
I will view tmrw and report back.
BTW Cap Clean is the "book price" many dealers use and this is £34700 for this car, Glass's guide is £36220 so £2k more than a main dealer retail price!
It's weird how even though it's being sold by Jardine Motors / Wolverhampton Audi, they haven't bothered to change the number plate surrounds from the original supplying dealer ones that say "Vindis Audi Group"

they had it up for 36k + last week, same dealer had an S4 a while back price came down 5k in two months, nothings selling and too many about its a buyers market i think it will bring tears to our eyes on the value of our cars.even the facelift S4 /S5 which are few and far between (dealer demos)are not selling and its going to get worse.

Hence why I got a 7.5k discount on a brand new FL S4. A lot of motors are coming down in price quite nicely for buyers.

i got roughly the same when i bought my S4 in dec 2010. your missing the point we now have to suffer massive depreciation on our cars ,it would bring tears to your eyes if you asked a main dealer for a price on your car now even though you got 7.5k on RRP.

No, I understand the point. Maybe my wording didn't suggest so.

I wouldn't want to ask a dealer for a price as I'm sure it wouldn't be pleasant. Had to suck it up when I chopped in my 10 month old Octavia VRS. I wouldn't make the same mistake again.

isnt august silly season for dealers as they try to make targets for the new reg?

we got 21% of a polo GTi last aug that the dealer had in stock, we where looking at his used stock and he was just saying 2k of that if you buy today, 3k of that, 2.5k of that one

and its a year old car with a years millage on it, not many other cars would be so close to there list price a year latter

I agree Dave, it's done a few miles, is 1 year old and has already had 2 owners.
TBH £36950 for a 12 reg with 3k sounds better, not seen a winter yet
But then again £39990 for a new one that's just for you sounds the best deal

Is it silly season? Well from my experience there has been a shortage of stock so nobody has been discounting, however it's not been busy so some cars have to get shifted on if they are old stock and that's probably what's happened here

Right, saw car and it is mint.
Paint is lovely and looks original.
Front bumper is ever so slightly off colour but didn't look painted. Barely any chips but there were some. Front tyres were brand new and contis as on back.
Slight nick in back offside wheels edge
The bolt securing the plate over battery in boot was loose but presume this was due to flat battery maybe.
I spoke to Wolverhampton audi and they said they have a strict 60 day disposal policy hence why it was there. It owed them 35k but would sell for 33k but as a trader there was very little profit to be had so watched auction and it made £32500 though there will be a hefty buyers fee on that for someone which wouldn't be the case if a deal had been done at audi.
At this Rate £30k at audi may be poss come Christmas
