I have a small but annoying vibration through the steering on light braking. It seems to be better on medium to hard brake application but depends on the road surface. There is no disernable reduction in brake performance. I have run the car in for 2000 miles, and not done any track or high speed runs. Current mileage is 3600ish.
Has anyone else suffered similar symptoms before I head to the dealer??

What it almost certainly needs is for the brakes to be worked. Give it several 70(Ish!) to zero stops as hard as you can. Then see if it's any better. Expect mixed reactions from the dealer.

ur brake discs might be cranked a bit.

There may be pad deposits causing the vibrations. It'll feel like warping, but it's not.

As above, a few hard stops should clear it.

Curved disc.
It happens when the disc is very hot and it's raining for example or when you brake in a deep puddle.

It can also be a pad.
Go to the dealer, if i'm right - it's easy stuff - but I don't know if warranty will accept it.

Trip to dealer produced all new discs and pads. Have now carefully run them in again and will wait and see what happens next. Hopefully a one off.

99.99999% of the time it will be the pad or the surface of the disc

holding the car stationary on the brakes when the disc is very hot can mark the disc with brake material

uneven material build up on the pad/disc or uneven wear on the pad can cause a vibration. very rare to warp a disc

a few hard brakes to get some heat into the pads and clear the material on the disc may cure it
