Ahhhhhh. Too many Audi models and variants. Does this now make the S4 Saloon redundant?

By the way, it looks good. If there was an RS3 Saloon like this then sign me up.

I hope they do an RS3 sedan, that might tempt me. It bugs me how the the 4 is now so bloated & now I'm forced to look to the 3 sedan in order to get a compact executive. It looks v nice anyway.

Have you done a write up on the RS5 yet? I'm adoring my new S5 and would love one day to move to the RS.

Didn't you like the RS3 to start with? Guess that went with the job.

R8 V10 plus is the daddy.....but the price. Not sure I have the balls to press go on that one.

Have you actually seen one? Up close;

They look chavy with LED chintz on the front
Plasticy interior trim last seen on Hyundai Lantra
Poor rear headroom
Virtually non existent boot
Fake exhausts
Huge options list that will take it beyond the price of an RS3 with similar spec


It may yet have a great engine but the packaging is poorly executed. BTW did you ever do an RS3 write up or is it because you didn't like it that you didn't do one?

It sounds appealing on paper and the journo's are saying it sounds great.
But I've not seen it in the flesh so bow to your better judgement on that on.

The RS 3. I will get round to posting my thoughts soon. To be honest I was happy to see the back of it. It just didn't do it for me I'm afraid. There were ups and downs, some drives (Wales trip) I thought it was ace, but the more time I spent in it there more I disliked it.

25.9mpg over 9500 motorway miles in 3 months.

The 3 needs stuff doing to it to make it better no doubt, something you won't have been able to do.

I too would sooner have a CLA45 over the S3/RS3

LED DRLs look the same as current S/RS3?

That saloon looks very blooming nice. However there probably won't be an RS as it looks like Audi has decided to stop making any RS saloon anymore!
Even if they did, it would probably be too small for me.

If it had flared arches and RS style bumpers it would like like a modern baby B7 RS4.
