spiralsmile, I'm in SW18 also. If there is anything I can do to help, from a random ride to Audi to packing a bazooka and going on the hunt, please feel free to give me a shout. I'll PM you my details.

HEo2TEC, any update on your situation?

That is rubbish! I can not believe people will stoop to this level and nobody saw anything.
I am glad I haven't had to encounter this type of activity near me yet.
Good luck with the repairs.

It must've taken ages, so I'm shocked no one heard
I take it the car's not on your drive, but on a street
Even with practice, it's got to be at least a 15-20min job to remove all that through the windows, right ?

Shocking news, really feel for you here.

Now going to religiously be putting my cabriolet outside from now on. - I'm not many miles away from SW18 either.

Good luck getting the replacements quickly and hope you don't lose heart with the car.

The alarms on my S4, by B6 A4 and S4s and my B7 RS4 have all been so quiet it's almost a mis-description to call it an alarm (my phone beeps louder when I get a text message!).
Lol so true. It wouldn't wake anyone up

How are the two guys with the stolen interior and house break in getting on? Hoping all is ok for you both.

Did you by any chance pay or get the gap insurance fom the dealer? - I brokered this as free for my deal on the RRP. Check as it will cover any loses you have and prevent a cat d write off.

Hope it works our for you, good luck!

What are you hoping for? The same car sorted out or a write off and wait for a new motor?

There was another guy as well, on page 1 of this thread called HEo2TEC. I think I read about your one Chris. Fair play for trying to just get on with it. I would be having a long think about selling if it was me, although does lightning strike twice, sometimes yes.

Sorry to see this - not that long since a chap with an RS4 cab has his tan buckets stolen and suspect that wasn't that far away.

I doubt they could open the doors due to deadlocks so maybe the steering wheel had to come off so as to allow enough room to the seats out?
Still this is a seriously tricky job to do under time pressure in such a confined space, amazing.

If the RS3 has the stock 8P alarm, it's not hard to access the siren loom down under the nearside rear lamp and snip it or smother it so make sure it works still.

The 8P S3 has always been a popular 'gansta' car so I bet that's where these are heading for.
