RS5!!!!
RE: RS5!!!!
looks like a load of photo shop to me?
RE: RS5!!!!
Interesting. I note they've not put a FBSW on it though. Which surprises me if these are official pictures. I like the red interior. The rear splitter looks the business too. Exciting times.
RE: RS5!!!!
Excellent find, they look pretty official to me.
Have to say I’m slightly disappointed with the looks of it though - I would have liked a more aggressive look and the interior could be better. That said I will defiantly be going to look at one in the flesh before making a final judgement

RE: RS5!!!!
The company that has produced this list Audi AG as one of their clients (amongst a number of other high profile car manufacturers) and some of the other projects for Audi seem to back up that this is genuine. Seeing as the car hasn't been officially unveiled I could see Audi being pretty pissed off if this is truly genuine and steals some of the marketing thunder. Looks like an awful lot of effort if this is a hoax so if a betting man I would say genuine.
In terms of looks I'm with pippyrips. I've always though the A5/S5 looks like a stretch TT and not aggressive enough. With the RS4 it's the subtle issues such as the flared arches, stance and wheels that make it's looks plus I've always liked the lines of the car; straight edges and curves in all the right places. Plus don't like any of the wheel selections, not a patch on the current wheels but will reserve judgment until I see it in the flesh and see what they have fitted for engine, transmission and suspension.

Totally agree with what you're saying about the looks, I'll have an M3 thankspippyrips wrote:Have to say I’m slightly disappointed with the looks of it though - I would have liked a more aggressive look and the interior could be better.

That red / black interior is 100% ripped off from the black edition Nissan GTR - and it looks sh*te in that too!!

RE: Re: RE: RS5!!!!
The RS in whatever brand, Audi, Ford etc, to me, has always been something to get excited about, but the RS5 just doesn't see to have that look.
the back end is the only thing that is nice about it, it just looks like another "run of the mill"
Left me Not as excited as the RS4, when that came out I REALLY wanted one.
Probably a very good car and no doubt ill change my mind when i see one and feel a right <beep>.

RE: Re: RE: RS5!!!!
Looks a bit boring to me.
I was excited about the RS5, thinking it would be the next move from the RS4 but as others have said it lacks the wow factor in the looks department. It doesn't really look any more aggressive than the S5.

RE: Re: RE: RS5!!!!
I think it doesnt look "flared" enough....Rear looks good and front but as said above doesnt look to disimilar to the S5....Interior looks good though. At the end of the day with Audis current styling these pictures will be near enough right. Thecar will look like this when its launched IMO.

Thanks. the pricing discussion is helpful:pippyrips wrote:http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/20455 ... 5-brochure!

Just took a look at what the UK price might be for the RS5 based on KresoF1's €80k start price in Germany and how other performance Audis are priced comparatively. I think £58-£60k for this car is about right in the UK given the M3 is £52k. Of course this is a very rough estimation of UK pricing but a straight £-€ exchange is not how they are priced.
€ in Germany £ in UK Conversion
RS6 € 108,400 £ 74,555 69%
TTRS € 55,800 £ 42,985 77%
R8 V8 € 109,100 £ 82,555 76%
R8 V10 € 144,400 £ 103,265 72%
R8 Spyder € 151,800 £ 111,955 74%
73% Average
73% Weighted Av.
RS5 € 80,000 £ 58,679 Average
£ 61,627 Max
£ 55,022 Min
Basic price is likely to be at the low end of that scale.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: RS5!!!!
Given Audi's history of pricing options you will be looking near 65k to get the desireable kit.
