just noticed on my car the fronts drilled discs are not directional, the holes on the drivers side are forward facing but on the passenger side they head to wards the rear of the car. My old C5 RS6 had the same size discs which were drilled but were directional so you had to buy a left and right disc which each had its own part number. Does anyone know why on the RS5 they are not directional?

Do they have arrows on the bells? I know (according to Amar) that C6 discs are also NOT directional.

Got a new set delivered today and the bell has an arrow point both ways, just can't understand why on the c5 they are direction and these are not but almost identical discs. I've fired a question at Audi uk and are getting back to me with an answer soon........maybe.

Have a look on ETKA. If they are the the same part number then they are the same.

The lines don't really mean much, less so the drillings. People often claim that you can fit the discs backwards for a more aggressive bite but I don't believe it. The key thing is the direction of the vents. On brake discs air is normally supposed be drawn through the centre of the bell (and ducts usually direct air that way) which then goes through the vanes to the outside of the disc. If the disc is spinning clockwise then the discs normally have vents this way at the top \\\\\

Pretty much the norm across the Audi range now, brake discs are not directional, presumably to save costs. It means one side will get hotter than the other if you're really going for it and are braking hard. C5 RS6 is the last Audi model to have directional discs I believe.

As suggested above, the standard discs and upgrade "wavy" discs are not handed.

Only the ceramics are handed on the RS5.
