Only had it 3 days, plus weather been really crap so not really driven it that much, but so far very pleased with.
Can't really compare it to my old RS6 as they are 2 different cars. The rs6 I had was and still is a great car, straight line fast, great noise, and a great cruising car. But however much I loved the car it was 11 years old so once in the RS5 you realise technology has moved on, i.e simple things like when you lock the car the mirrors fold in, and having memory seats in the car, these were not even a option on the Rs5 even though memory seats were available in the c5 A6 format. During the RS5 shoes seem a very solid car, you can drive it in comfort mode and hardly here the engine, put in dynamic mode and the flaps on the exhaust open engine tone changes to a deeper bass sound, oh and the shift up noise is so addict-able, and the blip it gives of the throttle on down shift gives a real smile factor. It's having a drive up to Scotland this weekend for a week so really gives me a chance to check everything out, but so far can't complain very happy with it.

The American car is always there when I go round but never really noticed what it is, will have a look next time I'm round.
