RS5 Stolen Sat 29th November

Hi All,

My RS5 was stolen from on the drive late Friday night / early Saturday morning from Bramhall, Cheshire.
Reg BG11 RZB. Spec: Daytona Grey - Black Pack, Sports Exhaust, Nappa, B&O, 20" rotors etc, Homelink

The car was advertised for sale on Autotrader. I had a call from a guy coming to see it who didn't show up on Friday afternoon and after chasing him he eventually said he had got stuck in traffic on his way from Coventry and was going to turn back. The guy sounded Asian and had a midlands accent. Said he was called Ian.

I have CCTV so when I came home after a night out and the car wasn't there I checked what was going on..

-11.30pm 2 guys in hoods walk past the house looking up both driveways.
-11.40 a 3door Audi A3 (sounds like a v6) drives too slowly past the house. Can't see what colour due to being night vision / IR cameras.
-11.50pm my car lights come and you see 2 guys in hoods and masks walk back down the drive and on to the road.
-12.10am they return and one stands beside the car while the other gets in the drivers door. He then goes through the back seats in to the boot (supposedly to disable tracker..) Then 2 guys push the car off the drive while one steers. They then start the car once down the road and drive away.

The phone numbers he called / texted from are: 07459034679 & 07424312720. And before anyone asks - at the point he texted from a second number I left him a shitty voicemail saying I didn't trust him and the house had CCTV as I got a bad feeling about him.

The Police seem to think they have a codeable key and software as there has been a spate of thefts recently. 5 guys have already been jailed in the West Midlands a few months ago for doing the same...

At least they didn't try coming in the house while my wife and 2yr old son were in bed..

Audi are checking if a key has been requested / history of keys etc but said Stockport Audi have experienced many of the same incidents in recent weeks so please keep a watch out one and all..

If they had a key created from your VRN and chassis number, they won't be 'buying' the key from an Audi dealer (although cannot rule out someone on the inside 'providing' keys)

Sorry to hear the bad news. I always feel it's better to lose the car than have any harm done to the family, glad ur all safe.
