Does the 2000 S6 have pre cats? Downpipes options?

Looking at tuning the S6 to try & get maximum power out of it. Have seen some B6 S4s with 380/390 bhp so assuming we can get the same power being a similar engine. So far I have fitted an ITG panel filter & RS6+ cat back exhaust & was going to book in this week for a remap somewhere. But I've been doing some reading online in tuning the 4.2 V8 & its suggested to get hi flow cats or piggie pipes first but that info is on the B6 S4. Anybody now if the S6 has pre cats, I'm assuming it does?

If so what are the suggestions for the down pipes? Just gut the pre cats & make piggie pipes? I have looked at Miltek hi flow cats but the cost of £1500 has me looking for a cheaper way. From the reading I've done on various forums on the internet, people are saying that gutting your pre cats on the S4 gives you the same power has expensive sports cats, I just can't find any info on the S6.

Also what about fitting RS6 down pipes & gutting the pre cats on those, surly that would be an option? Do they fit though?

You could cut the cats out of the Miltek system, however they are sport cats anyway.... and this will fail your M.O.T.
Unless like me you have LPG and then your don't need cats..!!

I wouldn't spend £1500 on some Miltek downpipes & cut the cats out of them  I'm looking at gutting the precats on the standard pipes as they are a big power zapper on the S4. I just wasn't sure if the 2000 year S6 has the precats? I'm not sure its such an easy job though, I can imagine its a pain to get them off.

Oh yes, I am on LPG too :D
