I've been talking to Nortech performance about headers on the s4,similiar to these

http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart.ph ... ail&p=1983

James from Nortech said it can be done & good gains in power too

Just waiting for a rough quote on these..

Interesting stuff. I'll be watching this with interest.

Many of our American cousins have fitted aftermarket exhaust manifolds but I haven't seen any quoted power gains before. It's my understanding from discussions with MRC that the exhaust system makes little or no difference to the power output on mapped S4s, but it can't hurt surely?

I have read however that it can drastically change the character of the exhaust note though and also introduce a fair bit of drone. Something to be aware of, particularly those running loud exhausts already.

So in total it's 5k
From your feel is there any improvements in power?
Is it noisier?

yes it was 5k for the parts, i was running the Armytrix exhaust which is loud when we put this lot on it was unbearable we put it on the dyno and with the valves closed it lost 120hp,so we scrapped the Armytrix and had a custom exhaust made.the sound is now how i want it and yes it pulls a lot harder just waiting for a part then its back on the dyno,iv all so changed the coil packs for Okada plasma coil packs,as it was suffering from a few misfires it has not misfired since these went on,we all so cut the flanges off the cats and remodeled them as in are opinion they was in the wrong place and would off run the risk off them catching on speed humps.as the cats now sit under the car

Sorry but 3k for 2 cats? They should cost about £200 each.

Each the their own, but a good quality 200 cell high flow cat doesn't cost £750. got any sound clips?
