Exhaust options...

Well I for one am fed up of Milltek taking forever (2 years) to pull their finger out with the valvesonic exhaust for the S4, so have been researching other options.

First of all the spam's have done some comparisons here http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthrea ... -Fest-2010

I'm going to be phoning Regal autosport tomorrow to find out the cost of the AWE exhaust, as this and the Milltek are probably the best ones for sound/value.

I know a few of you have the Milltek non-res exhaust, how bad is the drone on a manual car ?

If anyone wants a cheap exhaust, it looks like Revo are selling off some Stasis exhaust's but the general consensus on audizine is that they drone alot.

Anyhow hope that helps, will update when I know the prices of the AWE and also the MTM system from QST.

I've non res on my manual and yes there is a drone but nothing worth mentioning, although I love the sound and did not realise how freakin loud it was until the mrs drove it away the other day. Big grin time.

You can hear it yes. It's not loud that you need to turn up the radio. I'd not change it for anything else.

Well I've just ordered an AWE exhaust, keeping the stock downpipes. I went for the AWE as it seems to be the best compromise of all the exhausts, Milltek would of been nice but as I sometimes leave and comeback at 3.00am , I did'nt want a really loud exhaust.

Photo's and vid's will be done once fitted.

Im going for the same setup, Regal said they had two more orders in for the AWE so yours must be one..

Looking forward to getting it fitted, least the manuals can get away without the down pipes which also helps keep the cost lower.

The AWE exhaust sounds good. I heard an S5 with it and I was impressed with it.

Thats good news then :jump_clap:

I did ring them thursday to chase it up but the lad who was dealing with them had already finished for the day,was expecting a call yesterday but it never happened!

Let us know what you think once its fitted :)

Im getting mine done local as their place is abit of a trek for me,and getting the old system back would of been a nightmare!

Have fun :beerchug:

Exhaust fitted, very nice noise but a slight drone at 3000rpm, hopefully should quieten down when coked up a bit.

Was enjoying the exhaust a bit too much and didn't spot a camera van till too late, so now will be watching the postbox for the next 17 days :bash: :ban:
