You may remember me for threads like:
'I am looking for an RS4 Cabriolet' and 'Do they all do that sir?'



I put in my order for a Black Edition S4 Saloon last week (decided to spend some of the kids inheritance), but when I spec'd it up, I deliberately left out the smart key as I want to know its shut when I walk away from the car.

Its not a biggie if they don't, but do the 2014 cars come with the Stop Start button as well. The one I test drove had the smart key.

Is it not operated by a button under the door handle on the new Audi's then?

Even though i dont take the key out of my pocket i still have to manually lock the car in this way when i exit so i always know its locked and like wise i have to trigger the sensor under the handle to open when i return.

This is quite accurate as the passenger door wont operate for my wife if im stood on the drivers side.

So far as I know if you don't have advanced key then no start button.
