Ticking noise in glove box

Hi,
Noticed this a couple of times, when I put the key in and power up there's a relay type ticking noise coming from the glove box, does it 7-8 times. Any idea what it is?

Searched the net for this and found nothing!!
Have this same annoyance in my RS!
Had glove box out but cannot trace the noise!
Stops when I open the glove box so thinking something to do with interior lighting!
Also stops when locking or starting the car!
Going to have another look this weekend when I get home!
Going to investigate drivers side this time in case the noise is being transmitted through the trim!
But agree it could well be a relay!

Ah!! Think you might have cracked it there, thanks. I have a changer and iPod connection, it could be the cd changer clicking while looking for discs.
I'll load the CD changer up and see if it still does it.

I have it too but my cd is in the dash so must be something else in our glove boxes...

Yep mine is in the dash too so it's not that, I also noticed it does it when I switch the car off!

Mine did this a few days ago. Climate control off, noise stops. Mine's definitely fan related, like there's a small leaf stuck in there.

I found what this was, for those who are interested, it's a tracking device so nothing at all related to the car. It's been relocated now

It's good to know that they designed it so you can track the tracking device.
