H&R Sway Bars Fitted

I finally took the plunge after speaking to a lot of people about how these would work with my ADS car. Apparently stock bars on an ADS car are 25.9mm (non-adjustable F) and 22mm (non-adjustable R) with the H&R bars 30mm (adjustable F) and 24mm (non-adjustable R). I was therefore nervous they wouldn't quite fit but was told otherwise!

Had them fitted a week ago and it took the garage 2 hours. After the first few runs all seemed well and good with the car definitely feeling tighter in the turns - placebo effect I was telling myself! Still not as good as my B7 RS4 but hugely better than the boat the S4 was pretending to be like. But after a few days lots of knocking was coming from the front of the car. I took the car back to the garage today and they said there's hardly any room for the front bar to fit with the splash shield. In the end they shaved about 15mm off each side of the splash shield and all is good now

Slightly frustrating that H&R don't mention this in their instructions or indeed design appropriately.

My H&R ARBs on the S3 fouled on the top of a bolt pretty much in line with the passenger foot well. Never found out why they'd design the bars to not fit properly under the car, but there were plenty of threads on the end of the bolt if you wanted to cut it down. Only real downside was a knock when you went into reverse (and the bar twisted back onto the bolt).
