Black edition (B&O, black styling, MMI etc)
Super sport seats
Parking system
Folding mirrors
Through load
Hill hold

Favourite option is the seats followed by hill hold.
car looks great in that colour combination, got the same colour interior in my phantom black saloon, why audi call it silver i don't know its more white than silver ,also got the hill hold which in my opinion should be standard considering the importance of it and only costing £65.enjoy

I guess the S4 stage 1 would be similar to the B8 RS4 in a straight line. It totally destroys a B7 RS4, there is a video on YouTube of it. Think it was a revo video.

yes but a standard S4 without ADS, sports diff etc handles like a boat and nowhere near the handling of a B7 .... so unless the S4 is spec'd right, the B7 will leave it on a windy road

Like a boat!

Shows my lack of driving experience. I thought the handling was brilliant. However A) this is only really my third car B) my first AWD car and C) the last car was FWD and tuned and couldn't handle the power which made me very timid/safe in the corners.

My guess is I haven't even pushed the S4 even close to its limits. I'd love to go in one with a proper driver to know what the car could do (in someone else's of course).

IMO, a boat

I've had x2 B8 S4's now ... nearly 20,000 miles in them

I've had x3 B7's ...

no, im not Lewis Hamilton by any stretch of the imagination ... but a standard B8 is not a great handling car ... a standard B7 is ...

but, with the right spec, im sure the B8 would be better

I take your word for it mate as experience knows best. I'm also still in honeymoon period of having a performance car with AWD. I can accelerate in 2nd gear without torque steer of wheels spinning up. New experience for me. I've only been driving 3 years so I guess after owning this for a while il get to know it properly and know what it can do.

I'm actually yet to go in a B7 RS4. I just heard from a few people that the acceleration was similar. In terms of handling yes I've heard a lot of people say the S4 needs ADS and the differential. Neither of which I have.

My new S4 has ADS (No dynamic steering) and the sport diff, and I would say it is as well balanced as a B7 RS4. I've driven both the B7 RS4 and a non ads/sport diff B8 S4 and to be honest the RS suffered from as much understeer as the S4 (Not as much as My B7 S4 or various imprezas) - wheel size and tyres may have been a factor.
I toyed with waiting and buying a B8 RS4 but after reading several luke warm reviews of the RS5 stating that the s-Tronic doesn't gel with the V8 as much as it does the V6, i went for a high spec S4. I have been offered a test drive in the new RS4 when it arrives and will take it, but due to the significant price hike it will have to be truly fantastic for me to consider it - and yes i know it looks a bit nicer.

I agree. Is the extra 15-20k worth it. Probably not, unless money really is no consideration.

your right theres too many ifs and buts, the long and the short of it is you can't compare an S to a RS . an S model is a good car where an RS model is a hard core version. no disrespect to the B7 RS 4 it is old technology now and thats why there is the new B8 RS4 .even though there will still be ifs and buts {manual ,Stronic, saloon , avant }it will be interesting to see how the two will compare.

If you enjoy it half as much as I enjoy mine you'll be very pleased. Haven't driven past a better car since I got it, feels great.

Hope that doesn't make me a snob. The car really is special. If you were closer to me I'd love to compare yours to mine handling wise with your diff and drive select. Wish my budget could have stretched a little further. Oh well maybe when I'm
29 ad get the next car. I shouldn't be thinking abot the next car though

Aberdeen, I assume you work in oil and gas? My company are starting to explore this industry.

Congrats nickyboy, looks beautiful! What do you think of the piano black trim? Any issues with glare or reflections in the gauge/nav screen surround when driving? Looks really cool in the pics, but just want to make sure that living/driving with it is as cool. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I posted in your thread my thoughts. Essentially looks brilliant but is a pain to keep it that way.
