Is your car mistakenly listed for a auto on the v5?

The first 12 months tax is £475, then its £260 for subsequent years

My 09 plate manual Avant S4 is still £475 for 12 months. It is £261.25 for 6 months.

Thats double what the FL cars are. My S5 is the same as mojo's.

No, its because it was a manual avant. All S-tronic avants from 09 until the FL are (Last year) £275 a year

Nope, it's a B8 V6. Compared to the fuel that it uses, an extra couple of hundred quid a year is nothing. Anyhow, it's not like we buy these cars because they're cost effective, it's because of the fun we have in them.

True, but its a piss take that the auto is £200 less to tax than the manual, 7th is barely taller so its not like the economy shoots up at 70 mph etc

Just like my audi tt was 226 co2, if it had been 225 or older than march 06 it would have been half the road tax....not fair

The difficulty [re B8 V6 DSG v manual] comes from the rules regarding manuals and autos. Manuals I believe are driven to a set speed in each gear (regardless of gearing / gear ratios) whereas automatics are left in drive. So on a light throttle a DSG S Tronic S4 (or RS4) shuffles up to seventh by around 30 - 40 mph.....

Fr what I know. S4 v6 fro May 2009 to 25th April 2010 sit in the lower tax band. One of the reasons I bought my S4 as it was registered 14th April 2010.
