Pop into the dealer today to get an update. Ended up with a oil more discount and a test drive in the rs4 :biggrin3: . The rs4 is a proper beast by the way.

Update

Build week 40 for delivery 2nd or 3rd week in Oct. 6 month wait!!!! The sales guy said i should count myself lucky as other models like A7 ordered around the same time arent gonng be delivered until next February. Apparently the cnt make the Black Edition Rotor wheels quick enough. Not sure if this is js sales man blabber.

Looks like it will be a 63 plate

May as well buy a used one with 1000-2000 miles on. The waiting times are stupid. You can get a C63 with a hand built engine in half the time.

Six month delay is due to alloy wheel shortage? Thats the funniest one I've heard in a while!! :audibash:

I did consider a c63 estate before but the MPG was way to scary for a daily driver.

Is the bulletin published anywhere?

It'll be an internal doc, so publicly, no.

Don't expect much from the 3.0T. My average in my S5 coupe which is apparently more efficient than the S4 is 19.8mpg over 2500 miles of mixed driving.

I did get 44.1 out of the S4 though (driving like a pussy).

Still better than single digits for the C63. Although I think I would have preferred the noise of the 6.3 V8. The deal on the S4 was very good though so it kinda sold it to me really.

Just got off the fone from my dealer. I'm now pushed back to build week 42. The sales rep is insistent this was always the build week and I got it wrong. So no I'm expecting delivery 2nd week in Nov.

Anyone else on here experiencing the same delay?
