So is that about the same spec or better as to what you had ?

Hope the brakes are ok....
It's much better spec wise than mine. I didn't have tech high, damper control or drive select.

Mine had all the styling options but none of the substance.

It will be stunning with the black grille and trims, the silver rims and mirrors will be a contrast to the black as you know my S4 is phantom with silver rims when its clean the reflections are awesome .

Result!

Glad Audi have restored your faith in the brand, and a bit of a marketing coup for them to (turn a bit if bad press into a win).

I with you on the sportback thing - how to turn a beautiful car into a pig, yak!

Contrary to a lot I hear about black cars, I found my black vRS easy to keep clean and looks epic with a good shine to it. I'm not a detailing freak but do like a clean car. All I used to do was a quick two bucket clean, air dry (drive round the block), and apply a coat of showroom shine et voila - a deep glossy shine to last the week :)

Enjoy and keep us updated as it arrives (as if you wouldn't)!!!
Lots of rubbish cars slowly progressing to a nice shiny S4

Did you create the config or Audi? It has Drive Select, but none of the options it works with - Damper control, dynamic steering or the sports diff.

It was Audi. I quizzed them today about this and got the answer that it will still work. I expect all it will do is alter the throttle response (same as putting the gearbox in S). Oh well.

Anyone know if the drive select is now pointless? I would say yes but I'm not too sure.

Presumably it will adjust throttle mapping etc as you predict ala sport mode.

Not sure what else it can do?

This was taken direct from audi Configurator . Audi drive select enables the character of the vehicle to be noticeably changed according to driving situation, road conditions and personal mood.
Changes your car’s handling and responses at the touch of a button to suit the way you want to drive. Enables the driver to alter the throttle response, the shift point of the automatic transmission and the power steering feel between the four pre-set modes comfort, dynamic, auto and efficiency. Efficiency mode also adjusts the climate control and the cruise control for consumption-improvement. In combination with MMI Navigation systems, individual mode is also available, allowing even more fine tuning
Only in combination with dynamic steering or quattro Sports differential and damper control.
Your benefits

No more compromise between sporty and comfortable
Additional customisation options in conjunction with an MMI navigation system

Nice find! Looks pretty nice actually.

I hope I get those tyres as opposed to the noisy Continentals.
