Aftermarket Exhausts
Re: Aftermarket Exhausts
Hi lads, its just the exhaust as i didnt buy the res or non res downpipes as i was just going to use the oem downpipe which is fine for manual cars as they arent prone to drone like S-tronics. was going to advertise it for £1300 ono, cost over £1600.
AWE downpipes are i believe around £350-£450 depending on exchange rate, they reccomend res downpipe for cars running S-tronic to cancel out any drone. some run them without and arent to fussed about it,but depends how often you use your car or if you spend alot of time on motorways etc.

Hmm..bcs or full custom....decisions, decisions.
Re: Aftermarket Exhausts
There's not a prayer of getting it right off the bat as a full custom - we spent a period on and off over 6 weeks and 4 design changes
to get it right in the cabin, and free of drone.
But hey you pay your money and you take your chance

Ever considered doing a full system?BCS Nige wrote:There's not a prayer of getting it right off the bat as a full custom - we spent a period on and off over 6 weeks and 4 design changesto get it right in the cabin, and free of drone.

Re: Aftermarket Exhausts
I think that price is a big issue for the full system on the B8, and considering the performance gains are limited we opted for sound and style upgrades at a price point that represents the best bang for buck so to speak. We will be completing the full system later in the year and will offer it as an upgrade to customers that have already opted for the initial rear silencer set
