Warranty (Audi)
Was quoted the following for a comprehensive Audi branded warranty.
Excess
0 £1647.83
100 £1340.55
250 £1033.27
Is this typical? The car i inquired about is an 09 with 41k.
I should of, but i didnt, ask about the named component option. What prices do they come in at out of interest?
Is the general feeling that the comprehensive is the only way to go so the satnav audio and window regulators are covered??

The prices are standard.
There's a website with the breakdown, link not to hand but it can be found on Audi's site.

Re: Warranty (Audi)
Sounds exactly what we were quoted by Mondial....except with a one month exclusion to ensure no pre-existinng problems.
Had a conversation with the nice guys at QST who said the C6 RS6 is pretty tough - so decided to risk it. So far, no problems at all. Sod's Law though - something will go bang or pop today!

It's pretty tough but any repair bill is going to be BIG!

Re: Warranty (Audi)
yeh sorry the above prices include breakdown and a 1 month exclusion
Do you think not having the satnav, audio and window regulators covered is going to be a problem? Guesswork i know but i havent seen anyone on here with a failed satnav.

Honestly, not having the full package is penny pinching, not as though the car is cheap to own or run.
Re: Warranty (Audi)
I'll be renewing my Audi warranty in jan. In 9 months the car has had both front wheel bearings and oil level sensor, easily £1500 of work. The excess options don't look too bad - basically you need three claims on a year to make the no excess option better value.
How long before an existing warranty expires can you buy an extra year?

If you have a warranty from Mondial they'll pester you for renewal.
Re: Warranty (Audi)
These were the prices as at Nov 11, clearly gone up a bit since then. (Couldn't be bothered to attempt formatting, I'm sure you can pick the relevant bones out!)

Re: Warranty (Audi)

Warranty (Audi)
I assume that's the remainder if the three year factory warranty? Make sure you get the paperwork to support it (I say that as I gather from the other thread that you've bought from an indy). Audi don't usually allow transfer via a third party dealer.

Re: Warranty (Audi)
No the car is outwith the three years by a few months. the indi dealer is purchasing the extended audi warranty as part of the deal, servicing, full paint correction, respray front bumper, refurb wheels (showing very slight lacquer peal) and correcting the worn drivers side bolster.
very kind of him i thought

Re: Warranty (Audi)
I write this smirking ...
It is hard to explain really - brutal doesnt really fit well - its more ridiculous than that. How this got approval for manufacture at audi i dont know.
The kick down when you boot it will take some getting used to - very slight delay then boom (im not used to autos) Seconds later you are up at 80mph+.
The 4 is obviously quick but being NA you have to wring it more up at the red line to get the same feeling. When i got back in the 4 after, i felt i was driving a matchbox car!
It is complete overkill on power. i will hardly ever (never) use to it full extent but i want it, i want it bad. In fact direct me to MRC
