AS title guys?

The "747" fans as theyve been called on here! below the headlights are full of crud..leaves...crap etc etc...i need to clean the intakes out ASAP..But my fat fingers cant get bewteen the louvres....do the black plastic surronds just "clip" out similar to the B7 RS4 ones or is it a bumper off job?

Used to clean my RS4 ones out regular to prevent corrosion of oil cooler pipes....dont know what type of pipes etc are behind the C6 grilles but id like to clean crap out from fan intakes and in the long term prevent any corrsion issues?

Any info greatly appreciated?..... :beerchug:

Chris.

Luckily I can just about get my hand in the middle gap to clean them out .. Good idea to clean them on a regular basis I have always checked mine as the Boxster has a similar design and its a well known issue on them that the soggy leaves gather and rot the AC radiators

Yes they do clip out but are inverted clips. A real pain in the arse,to unclip. Pushing them back in is easy, taking them out is a ball ache.

My cack hands have broke two off the clips on the O/S one trying to get it off. :bash:

Someone must have a method......hoiw would an Audi mechanic or bodyshop remove them?,,,surely not a bumper off job?

They'd do it more carefully than you fellow, for sure !.... or maybe not if you took it to Poole Audi. They'd probably put a ding in the door too.

Is it a left handed, flat head Phillips?
