Dragging (forgive the pun) the thread back on topic from a couple of serial offenders

entertaining as they are, I flew the four ring flag high last wednesday at the local quarter mile drag strip here in Perth. Read on.
Well, a few more people in Perth Western Australia know how a C6 RS6 looks and runs at the local quarter mile drag strip.
Being the only C6 RS6 in WA, not many people in the 185 vehicles in the staging lanes or small crowd of drag strip enthusiasts knew what it was.
They assumed it was the 'normal' A6 old farts Audi, until posted 11.750 sec quarter time with me driving it solo.
Further surprised the crowd when backed it up with a passenger at 11.775 secs.
I was surprised at only being 0.025 secs slower over the quarter mile with a 90 kg passenger.
Just shows how much torque the RS6 aka "the beast "has.
Sub 8 second 0-100mph also puts the C6 RS6 into supercar territory.
As an observation on the max quarter mile performance this RS6 can achieve, in quarter mile drags, the 0-60ft time is most critical.
A good street car launch with semi-slicks is 1.5 secs for 0-60 ft. So best this RS6 would run is 11.40 secs for the quarter mile, assuming a 0-60ft time of 1.5 secs.
In an interview with a Motorplex official afterwards, I said the beast was sold second hand to me by Audi at 14,000kms as a 'standard" RS6, but i suspected it was mapped. I guess the Motorplex official didnt think that Audi would sell a mapped car with a two year warranty, so Audi reported the RS6 as 'standard'.
I subsequently found out from previous owner that RS6 was APR mapped to approx 700bhp.
Would like to see how fast a MRC 750bhp with gearbox map runs the quarter.
