it's tough out there at the moment according to my car trader buddy - i think it's not that unreasonable considering - what colour is the car, i think black and daytona grey are most popular when it comes to trade-in.

I hesitated before clicking on the link.
Did I really want to know?
However, as mentioned, it is what I was expecting.
Was that a straight sale or part ex?

Sale to major dealer. Not part ex. Seems low, 08 cars selling well above this. Checked on some classifieds and at this level they have quite a margin if they sell at £50k+. Concerned that milage is creeping up, shame as superb car. Seems that a year is standard time to keep an RS.

Sounds about right then.
Wouldn't have thought the dealer would fancy the exposure without moving on a more expensive car in return.

Dealers are making a killing on these, around 5-10k easy.
Most c6's are still in the dealer network which is why they can command as much (or less) as they want.

Best bet for a quick sale is to stick it up privately on PH and Autotrader.

One went last week on a 09 with similar miles for 49k and it sold withing 48hrs...

Just been bid the same on my 09 RS6 Saloon from an Aston Martin Dealer.
Told him to do one as there is only 3 saloons for sale on the Audi site and the pond life known as webuyanycar.com offered £48,500

Still managed to get 30k off a new V8 Vantage Roadster tho without really trying.

I'm now trying to see if JCT600 will come up with some better figures on the RS6 or else i may just keep it for a bit longer.

Apr 09 Monza Silver 19k mile Avant up at Cambridge Audi for £56k retail.

Gives an idea of what margins the dealers are trying to get on these cars!

Prompted by this thread, I just put in my details to get a 'valuation'.
£44,500 they offered, although obviously that will come down by £5k when they see the car, because it needs a wash.
Seriously though, I was expecting a lot, lot worse from a company that seems to prey on people desperate to sell.
Which I'm not.

Now another dealer offered £1500 more, for end March, collected from Cardiff. Maybe they felt obliged as just bought A3 Black from them.....ride was shocking, so bad that I ran it straight to local Dealer who confirmed that it had been delivered with the delivery suspension blocks still inserted into the springs !!.
Bought the RS6 from them, good rep....but badly let us down with this.
