Hi

Just seen that Superchips have put up the RS6 649bhp and 778Nm for £578

This is based on the work they did with my car, so can vouch for its success. I thought it would be nearer £900, so in my mind, great value.

Thanks Jon for the update. I've just bought an RS6 (Sepang Blue Saloon) so would definitely consider this, seems great value.

The "only" things holding me back are effect on Audi warranty (I don't fancy paying up for a new £20K+ engine) and my insurance (need to declare, premium etc). Any thoughts there?

Superchips offer a warramty that should cover any engine damage if Audi refuses to pay out, but check the smallprint to make sure you're happy with it.

Simmo - if you go for it - TELL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. any excuse nowadays for them not to pay out, Norwich Union did not charge any extra when I had my stage 1 but made me fit uprated brakes when I went to stage 3 and charged me handsomely as well. All mods now listed on policy and no problems IF anything untoward should happen

Those who tell you otherwise are treading a very fine line

Why dont you ring your broker and get him to enquire if they will charge you extra.

Definitely. The consequences of presuming you're insured when in fact you are not are unthinkable...

Yeh I'll have to weigh up the risk. The Superchips warranty is limited to claims of £10K in aggregate per vehicle...

RS6 CHIPPING

I have just had my new RS6 recalled by the dealer for software upgrade, car is 2 months an 1000 miles old.

When I turned up they specifically came and asked me if I have had the car chipped, I said no, but why have you asked.

They said that the new software will wipe any chipped software off and put the car back to standard, the car was online for 1.5 hrs having software downloaded.

What happens if you have just paid for a superchip....and now its gone.
