Is it just me or does it having the DRC worry you too?

Not as much as the likely depreciation.

I'll probably be in the market for a larger car later this year, but at that price an RS6 would be financial suicide.

I think Audi have made a huge mistake with the pricing of this car......absolutely love Audi but a £10k premium over the likes of BMW and Mercedes?

I was looking at that yesterday. It's £10k more than the M5 touring, £20k more than the previous model, and TBH the lack of customer support I've had for the current '6s gearbox and DRC means that I'm looking at alternatives. :?

i`m the same, i think Audi have overpriced this car, i know its 572bhp but 77k start price, can`t wait to see what the price will be for one in 2 years!!

nearer what it should be now...circa 50k
11k in VAT... you can kiss that goodbye as you leave the dealers for starters!!

is anyone buying one and bringing it to the rs246.comlive aid 2008?

I understand that the DRC system on the C6 will be the same as the B7 RS4, which apparently does not suffer the same problems as the C5 RS6.

Purely mechanical – Dynamic Ride Control
One of the major features that sets the new Audi RS 6 Avant apart from the competition is Dynamic Ride Control as a standard feature, which was used in similar form both in the predecessor model and in the current RS 4. This evolved high-tech system reduces the vehicle’s pitching and rolling movements in a particularly ingenious way – by purely mechanical means, which makes it instantaneous.

In the compact, lightweight DRC system, each pair of diagonally opposite shock absorbers is interconnected by means of two oil lines and a central valve. When the car takes a bend, the valves reduce the oil flow at the shock absorber of the outer front wheel where the suspension spring is compressed. This improves support, reduces body roll and thus enhances handling dynamics.

If desired, Dynamic Ride Control in the new RS 6 Avant can be supplemented with optional three-stage shock absorption. This version is called sport suspension plus and allows drivers to individually adjust the driving experience to suit their own personal preferences or the route they are traveling. Was sniffing over a 57 Plate Silver M5 Touring yesterday in a dealers, fully loaded with 1200 miles & an asking price of £56K. Nice rep said a deal could be done. They also had an Interlagos Saloon (brought back great memories) again with about 1000 miles for low £50's.

The RS6 is gonna get caned with depreciation & i'm kinda glad i ditched my Saloon slot a few weeks ago.

Yeah, but apparently the C5 RS6 DRC doesn't have any issues either. :lol:

Somebody shoot me, cuz the M5 touring is looking more appealing to me. I think I'm going to have to ditch the estate and get the GT-R... wouldn't that be a shame. 8)
