Hi, took out the intake manifold and found one connection missing a hose. Does anyone know what is supposed to be here? Plug? or does it lead anywhere? Is it for breathing?
Thanks in advance

It's a vacuum line to the brake servo -

That’s perfect thanks!
Is this hose sitting on the car, connected to a larger set of hoses? Because im looking around and i cant see anything available to connect to the port, and I cant remember disconnecting anything from there when taking it out either.
Could i have been missing it all the time and it just made no difference?

if you have a parts number for the connection it would be really helpful as my local dealer cant seem to find anything on the parts catalouge..

I can't be 100% sure but I "think" it's item 4 on this page which would be Pt No 4F0611931DS if I'm right -

The open end by the lower clip (lowest item 5) is where I think it connects to the intake pipe and the other end either fits to Pipe 1+2 on a European LHD Car or onto Pipe 3 for a RHD UK car. However, again, I can't be 100% sure without taking apart my own car

That's correct. I had to replace the part on my car as a split in one of the hoses near the T joint was the cause of me having no servo assistance when the car first started after an overnight halt. Fastening the hose crimp at the vacuum pump while the engine is in the car is an awkward job.

Some reason I cant see any hose, completely missing. I had the port on the intake blocked with rubber and noticed my servo changed, its much softer and stiffens at higher speed. Will be ordering part 4F0611931DS and install it.

I couldn’t locate the hose; it seems to be entirely missing. I had temporarily blocked the intake port with rubber and noticed a change in my servo—it’s now much softer and stiffens at higher speeds. I’ve decided to order part 4F0611931DS and will install it soon.
