Tyres

Hi all,

I know this topic might have been addressed else where. I would like to have your opinion on the best tyres for a C6 in terms of comfort and performance. I have the P Zeros on atm but have heard rave reviews about the Michelins Super Sports. Any insights appreciated. I find the ride level to be fairly stiff atm even with comfort settings and am wondering if a change of tyres would be noticeable improvements.

Thanks.

mine is running on non RFT Eagle F1s and they are extremely good.

If you are into performance and will be taking your car to a track day or two, I agree that Michelin's are way fwd (Pilot Sport 4S PS4S).

Another vote for Asymmetric F1's here.

I like their wet weather pedigree and have had them on all my previous S/RS cars.

I doubt the tyres will make a difference to the way the car feels in any setting unless you're 5 up...

Continental SportContact 6 are very good in my experience and according to tests a match for or better than the Michelin SuperSport for traction and braking, excellent steering feel but not quite a match for the Michelin in this area...

Continental will not wear as well as the Michelin but is a very good tyre...

The tests say that it is tight between the Conti and the Michelin... it is down to personal preference...

I’ve had Pirelli, Goodyear F1 and Michelins on mine. Michelins are night and day better, massive improvement.

Any of the "top 4" brands (Michelin, Pirelli, Continental & Goodyear) will be fine for the RS6, even when pushed a little.

I've used the MPSS and the GY F1AS and found that, unless you are driving at 95%+ you'll never know the difference, although I did find that the MPSS last longer than the GY's by about 3-4k miles.

Completely disagree, I've always noticed marked differences between tyres on cars I've owned, regardless how "hard" driven.

Pilot spot 4s all the way.
That is all.

I really like the Nitto N05s or the NT555s, FWIW. I used to like the Invos as well, but they always smell really weird for some reason, so I don't like them anymore.
