Custom or off the Shelf Exhaust?

Hi Chaps,

After some advice on an exhaust. I like the off the shelf Milltek's but wondered if Custom made would sound sweeter. Ive had a price of demand engineering to have a custom exhaust made with the following spec in 3" pipe.

Fully fitted with VAT & lifetime warranty included, the cat back, secondary cat delete system with an x-piece for balancing, will be £2200. I will also ceramic coat the tail tips for you free of charge in any colour of your choosing.

Any one had dealings with Demand Engineering?

i had decat 3" downpipes full custom exhaust with option to refit sec cats if needed fitted 2 years or so ago there

Dan (the owner) is a top bloke, all are there

the design was developed by a couple of guys on here who i believe were the first to go 900+ps

very thorough fabrication and attention to detail fitting

fantastic sound, best exhaust i've ever heard (the V10 helps )

thoroughly recommended

ask Dan about the test run i gave him ;)

Don

Thanks don,

If its good enough for the 900bhp gang then I'm sure its good enough for me. Lifetime warranty is also a nice touch. Didnt think a car would pass an mot without the cats? Ill have to stay over the night as it's a bit of a drive Dartford.

I have an off the shelf Supersprint, similar money. It's had genuine R&D on a dyno not just made up to fit. Made 609bhp/535lbft at MRC with no map.

I had my local exhaust guy remove the secondary Cat's, resonators and x pipe and replace with flanged pipes for swap back if required when selling. Cost was AUS$600.
Coupled with an APR map and BMC air filters it makes 405 AWKW on 98RON, happy days and sounds great, but a bit loud on cold start and WOT gear changes.

Many thanks for showing me your RS6 SteveG. The milltek sounds great and the stage 2 remap is frighteningly quick! 😲

Once I've decided ill post it on here.

Any one else had major fitment issues with KWE downpipes?

Lhs hits the trans hard and

RHS hits xmember.... not only that it sits 20mm below the lowest point of the car and 30-50mm lower than the left side
