Anyone know what version of the VCDS software I should be using with the above year car?

Many thanks

The latest stable release is 17.8. Always use the latest version. Also ensure that the firmware is up to date in the interface. On the home screen, press "Options" then press the "User Interface and Identification" tab then press ""Check for updates now". Hope this helps.

Also anyone know how to bring up the green hidden menu? Tried the car-setup combo and nothing appears?

It needs to be enabled first with VCDS. Just search google.

I had to enable mine via VCDS and then I could access the hidden menu.
