Do you drive yours through the winter ?

Do you drive your 6 all year round or is it a toy that you stick in the garage over winter and only take out on the odd sunny days so it doesn't get salt/ ice damage and to keep the mileage down. We had an M5 before, but the 6 feels like more of an occasion when I take her out. I haven't decided if she will hibernate or not yet.

I take her out come rain, sunshine, winter and summer. My c6 knows no barriers. She is invincible.
Except tyres. Tyres parish quickly. They need replacing. Most definitely going for PS4S

Put winter tyres on (ideally a spare set of wheels for them) and save the PS4S for summer.

What's the RS6 like in winter without winter tyres in a mild British winter?

Last winter (which was mild in my part of Yorkshire - few dustings of snow but nothing that stuck for long) on P-Zeros (two of which were close to the limit) I had no problems. And that's with a 25 mile commute which (depending on route) varies between good roads/motorway and country lanes.

During the mild winter in 2015 (when mine was at still stage 2) I was daily driving using MPSS tyres and mine handled as well as it did in summer (acceleration & cornering) until the temps dropped below 6'c and then you had to be more careful of full throttle in 2nd (1st would always spin no matter the time of year) but it still was nowhere near as "holy crap I'm going to die" as my 450hp RWD R34 Skyline or 7 series BMW when hooning about, it felt much more planted!

Mine was a handful on worn pirellis, it did the job but my B5 was amazing in the snow

Thanks, so I should be ok on summer tyres unless its a really bad winter.
My only previous Audi experience was my 2.0 A6 Tdi which on fairly worn summers could not even pull away past my wifes parked van on the street where it was parked. I know tyres come before awd but if the winter turns out to be another non event like last year I can re-arrange appointments for a couple of days when necessary. Unless Audi will store some wheels? i'll see if they have any space in their little tyre hotel..
I put Nokian all seasons on my fwd Volvo XC60 last year and it could go anywhere, not sure they will be available in Uber RS6 size!
best regards

In a mild winter then summer tyres (depending on brand) are OK if driven carefully. If it's snowing/freezing temps etc then all bets are off unless you drive "very" carefully.

Has anyone managed to find any all seasons tyres for 20inch wheels and if so anyone found them wanting in the summer.

Winter tyres transform these cars. And the difference is more and more extreme as the wheel and tyre size gets bigger. 275 width 19s or 20s are useless in the snow. I've been through the last 7 winters with a permanent Quattro, the last 6 I think with winter wheels and tyres, Id never drive without them now.
