Servicing in London/Essex Area

Hiya Guys,

just wondering if anyone know any good independent specialists in London/Essex area, my Audi has now had the dreaded oil leak and Audi(Chingford) has it.... So far they have been ok.
But looking at alternatives - as I have my concerns. Hopefully some of the work will be covered by the warranty...

Would appreciate any advice ?

Chingford is the worst I've ever had to deal with. Once I booked a visit weeks in advance, turned up and got told they can't do the work cos the only guy that can do this job is on holiday. The problem with East London is there's not much choice so you're kind of stuck if looking for franchise dealers.

For independents, try 4 Rings (Dartford, so not too far fom you) or Russell Automotive Centre in North London. Both are fine for changing plugs, brakes, servicing etc. I am not sure they would have had much experience dealing with the oil leak stuff.

Otherwise if you don't mind travelling a bit Whetstone Audi are fine for warranty work. Plenty of RS cars always in the car park and the master tech is an enthusiast.

I can see in my service history that my car went in to 4rings for some work, who spotted and corrected some mistakes made by AMD, and left very detailed notes on the work they'd done.

I use Tuningwerkes in South Croydon for most routine servicing and maintenance work. Have also used volksautos in Sutton for a few things - but prefer Tuningwerkes.

thanks for the info guys - its still with Chingford and nearly 4 weeks later - very little feedback - only went in to replace a battery...
will bare this in mind next time...

I use the guys at 4rings and always been happy with their work.
They now have a receptionist who's brilliant and comes back to you when she says she will.

Dean will always be up front about tackling RS specific issues that he's not confident doing.
