While its not snowing I took advantage of the cold weather and made a little test 100-200 kph in the German autobahn with the famous Aral 102 octane gas , I also removed almost all of the unnecessary weight ( the wife tagged along lol)
I was quite surprised with the results for a stage 2 i improved from 6.5 sec to 6.1 sec
Some pics and the vid
Enjoy
Cheers

Don't matter, 6.1 is fucken fast. Look at some of the heavily modded 2.0TFSI times for cars that weigh at least 650Kg less. The 100 - 200 is almost a pure torque discipline so there's not a lot of surprise you got a good time.

Bam bam if you see my YouTube channel I made other vids and normally on the same road A5 autobahn I get 6.5 6.6 sec full weight trim with half of tank and one passenger .

My stage 2 was consistantly recording 6.4 sec 100-200kph on an almost identical measuring system to the Vbox (10Hz GPS) so a 6.1 is very believable but the vertical component still needs to be added for a truly accurate time i.e. was the car going up/down hill. In fact I'm sure there is a software add-on for the PC Vbox program you can install which takes that into account!

Ian I was just going to say that
The altitude was 210 mts above sea level all the test duration
I have the software but I'm missing the DBscanner to correct the times displayed
It's amazing if our rs6 were 100 or 200 kg lighter we were competition to the gtrs

Thats very impressive...
If you stripped the 6 bear, removed everything.. amps, door cards, seats all the crap then it would be easily 200-300kgs lighter but no one buys an RS6 to be a race car, you want the double personality, fast car, practical comfy cruiser... no other car ticks the boxes as perfect all rounder as these do.
But that does prove that weight really does kill all the fun unless you have silly amounts of power!

Plus you could concentrate on driving and not have to worry about pinging unmarked Police cars (allegedly). Looks odd with no back seats though!

I broke no laws in the video lol
It's very weird without the seats you hear all kinds of funny noises

My point being that outside of the 'weapons free' areas of the Autobahn we're always on the look out for speed cameras/unmarked cars etc etc etc when carrying out some progressive driving. I do all of mine on a private road and the rest is merely heresay (for the benefit of the tape

)
