Iso fix help
Ive bought a rs6 this weekend but didnt realise id dosnt have iso fix in the back can this be fitted or will i have to put up with strapping the seatbelt round everytime.
Re: Iso fix help
I thought all C6 models had ISO fix in back and front passenger, mine certainly does, it's buried in the seat unlike some of the other model audis where they protrude out but I think if you take another look it's in there

Re: Iso fix help
I have the buckts in the front so i know they wont be there. Anyone know how the bottom half of the seat comes out because i really cant find them lol
Re: Iso fix help
They are there, but they're not obvious!
I looked on the Plus I viewed recently and ended up not using them on test drive as I didn't want to damage the leather without some spreaders available.
Audi sells guide funnels under part number 8R0 019 233A for £15 a pair before any discount - I would go for those over generic ones as they should minimise the effect on the leather.
If you find the point where the base and backrest meet and wiggle your fingers between you will find the metal bars more or less in line with the vertical stitching IIRC

Re: Iso fix help
The usual method for Audi non-folding seat benches is to lift the bottom of the bench whilst pushing it backwards at a point on the base about half way along each seating section.
You may need to use a fair amount of force.
The bases usually have thick wire loops that insert into floor mounted plastic clips. The clips (4B0886373 I think) are fragile and I suspect should be treated as a one-time fitting, with a strong possibility that they'll break when you remove the base.

Ive mannaged to get the front up like u said to pull back in the middle of each seat but then theres something at the back holding it down do i just pull it harder i dnt wanna break anything haha
Re: Iso fix help
Why are you trying to remove the bench? It's not necessary to access the Isofix if that's what you're attempting to do......

Theres no isofix so im trying to remove so i can install it then put the bench back. Just dnt wanna break anything lol
Re: Iso fix help
oh ok, I'm very surprised it's not there. My 2002 S8 had it as standard and every VAG car I've had later than that has had it too. When it was optional you usually got it alongside the option to disable the front passenger airbag with a key in the glovebox, before it became a requirement to be fitted.

Re: Iso fix help
I phoned audi today thay said my car had them from new. So i decided to take the seat out when i got home.
100% there is no isofix in there just 2 holes on each side so somone must of taken it out for some reson

If someone has removed them then im not sure where you would get the ISOFIX from, maybe try TPS? there is an RS6 breaking on eBay most of its gone but i bet the ISOFIX is still there, i bought a full front strut off it to send away to get my brakes made up.
