Just out of interest has anybody upgraded their OEM spark plugs when they've gone to stage 2

I'm interested in this too as am about to replace them in preparation for tuning. Everything points towards stock though

I don't see the need.

When you say "upgrade" - what exactly do you mean?

Ok, sorry I'll specify: What exactly do you wish to achieve with an upgrade?

AFAIK there is no need to go colder on a Stage 2 map.

If you go beyond; hybrids, ICs etc then that's a different story.

Or by all means if you had any other goal in mind - do share!

yes essentially that - was interested to know if any owners had upgraded their plugs to a better preforming plug to aid the map however, it seems the OEM plug is more than efficient at stage 2.

If you want the final answer I would ask Classba. He had the most Bhp c6 on this forum. I'm stage 2 standard plugs no issues

Yeah but he had (way) beyond Stage 2.

Just go with OEM plugs, they're fine.

TBH you be nuts to run std heat range on stage 2 plus (below is the premium option but std plug but one cooler is fine),

we use these in all our in house tuned cars (modified stage 2 plus);

DENSO IK01-24

or NGK

R7434-8 (i use these in my own car at 645hp at all 4 wheels)

Both have the better electrode design, which reduces the chance of det damage and is a few heat ranges cooler.

STD setups or stage 1 or 2:

DENSO IK01-22

or NGK

R7434-7

Better tip design but only one heat range cooler.
