Amar (MR V10 now?) has a V10 saloon and I think a V10 plate. Not sure he'd be as far afield as Newcastle.

lol he barely pulled yards never mind miles an plenty stretches to do so ! So I know it wasn't mapped or a plus !! A mire your arrogance though mr rtd :drink: I'm sure his extra standard horsepower was way layer by his extra weight and my cars ability to largely go in more than just a straight line :beerchug:

a plus has no extra power a mapped car is an entirely different proposition and forget miles it would be light years :bigwave:

I have to admit in standard form they are anything but quick... my 400hp Saab Aero estate was just as quick to 120 (not including first gear) but its after 120mph that even in stock form the RS6 pulls.
But a mapped car is as RTD said the difference would be light years, mine now feels as it should have felt out the factory, i was actually dissapointed upon first pressing the loud pedal in my standard RS.

As for corners for the shear weight of the thing its actually pretty decent, everyone says its a terrible handling car but if you compare its handling to other very heavy cars then its probably the best out there!
Still though its no B7/B8 so its never going to come out on top in the really twisties!

I've driven more B8 S4/S5's than I can remember, and the V6 in the B8 isn't in the same league as the 5.0TT V10. Not even close. Anyone driving a B8 Sx from the C6 will be hugely disappointed in the performance. That's not a criticism of the B8, more of a testament to the C6.

The B8 V8 isn't particularly amazing either - Audi missed a trick in not turbocharging it. Hopefully they will see sense for the B9.

They have! The B9 is back to a V6 turbo'd engine. I saw it in the flesh last year, can't wait to drive it. They had it right with the B5 imho.

Have you heard anything on a RS3 saloon?

Confirmed for the US market. Unsure about everywhere else, I'd like to think so. An RS 3 saloon would be epic, best sounding car in the range, by far. I'd buy an RS 3 for the noise alone.
