They may suspect something is up when the mechanic crashes it in to the back wall of the workshop...

Didn't you ask this question before and get an answer.
No one is going to say, yes, remap, and all will be good. Take the warranty, do the remap, if your engine disintegrates don't be expecting a new one.

I've got an MRC stage 2 map plus a gearbox map together with a Miltek and secondary cat delete, etc. Have it serviced at Jack Barclay Audi no problem at all and have still got 'Audi' contributions to certain things. I do not bother with a warranty as I had one before and it was not worth the hassle now I just keep a 'rainy day car fund' instead. Simples

Mine has the MTM map, arranged by an Audi dealer when nearly new. I would assume that the MTM map would be fine by Audi in that case?

I'd love to see how that panned out in the event of a drivetrain failure. I suspect unfortunately you'd be left holding your dick in your hand. :/
I've had headlight fixes on my old RS6 and so on under extended warranty but wouldn't expect anything drivetrain to be done if it blew up. The warranty does after all specifically exclude modifications.
