Hi guys,

Having to replace my upper control arms, having been put off with Audi's premium just because the compound in the bushes is different just because its an RS6 vs an A6 i have sourced some Meyle HD replacement arms, delivery is due in a couple of days so once my mechanic has fitted them to the car will report back on fitting/car feel etc.

Paid roughly £45 each which is much better than the £130 from TPS/Audi and have seen quite a few members across various forums mention them as a very good OE replacement so will have a go and let you know.

LHS Upper Front (P/N: 116 050 0042 HD)
LHS Upper Rear (P/N: 116 050 0015 HD)
RHS Upper Front (P/N: 116 050 0063 HD)
RHS Upper Rear (P/N: 116 050 0016 HD)

I found a full kit from MAPCO for £350 including all the front end arms/bushes and new bolts.
I'll be trying and reporting back on this in the next few weeks.

Hi Fubar,

Good point, although in my case the arms joints are worn, think i would probably opt to replace the complete arm in a set to preserve geometry as much as possible.

Did think about the powerflex poly bushes but couldn't find anything for the C6 RS6 even though the normal A6 ones should work.

Need to get wheel alignment done after all this work by these guys http://www.alignment-services.co.uk/Contact.aspx

Just bumping this as i’ve Just ordered a Meyle kit from AllGermanParts. I queried the Meyle HD TRE’s and Matt spoke to Meyle about their part not being up to the job on an RS6. Meyle are confident and happy their Track Rod Ends are suitable for the RS6. Audi do have different part numbers from A6 to RS6 but Meyle say they are the same and the HD are upgraded from these. When I get the parts sided by side i’ll Confirm as there’s a £60 saving per track rod end with Meyle

Keep an eye on Amazon prices for Meyle 116 050 0095/HD Link Set, wheel suspension

I got for £146.71 in Aug 2016, absolute bargain. price fluctuates a lot.

StrongFlex do RS6 polybushes and are very helpful
