Hi all i have had my c6 rs6 for 3 months now and yesterday a fault came on my dash,Alternator is not charging your battery within 10 mins my car slowly started to die and finally it come to a stop.

This morning i charged battery fully then did a volt drop on it was ok,So then i removed engine cover and checked the alternator for voltage drop incase it was a cable broke or melted. The mechanic who helped me out told me the alternator wasnt working right and said the bushes may have gone.

I have warranty on the car but before i take it to be checked replaced is there anything else i can check and is this a common issue its a 2009 59 with 74k miles cheers.

Mark ward.

P.s I live in birmingham who should i take it to please.

Audi will do a full voltage diagnostic to find out whats what. It could be the battery also.

I seem to remember that being cheaper than the C5. Is that a core exchange?
