C5 to C6 :]

after owning a c5 for ten years & 95k enjoyable miles, mostly winding so called "quick cars" up,i let her go,always made me smile & even on the final trip got to show a 911 what a 12 yr old station wagon can do ,its funny really in ten years i could count on one hand the number of cars that actually gave me a good go ,the rest just pull to one side & were history! sentimental old fool i hear you cry.
this c6 is a different beast, almost stately like, but still punishingly quick , i don't think to 60 is much different but after that,<beep> happens! ,after ownership for 3weeks if i had a complaint it would be the comfort setting is too comfort & the next , dynamic is very slightly too stiff, overall i really rate the car , if you happen to have an arab as a father in law!
I've not been active on the forum for some years , don't know why but the new car has opened a whole host of questions & off course a need for information.
i think the last post i made was with pics when i replaced head gaskets & rebuilt the slipping box , all in my own workshops.
question time it is then
my phone is paired to the car & yet if i call the car from the s/wheel there is no phone book?
How can i get the security code to enable VIM with VCDS
My engine isn't leaking oil ,YET!, has anyone done the oil pump drive seal without the engine being removed
ps , nice to be back

Both MRC and Unit20 have done the oil seal without removing the engine. Still not cheap though as a lot of work involved

2. It is perfectly acceptable for a new member to receive “F*ck off n00b” in reply to their first post. This may be abbreviated to FON if you are in a hurry. ADDENDUM: Must only be offered with warm welcomes of affection, 'coz we don't really mean it.

best ever comment I had re a C6 was at Bedford aerodrome on a track day and the circuit taxi guy came to ask if my C6 was stock or modded (it was not) as he had tried to pass me in the mod'd BMW M3's they used as "taxis'" and his comment was .. you just left me

To all of you with that C6ness .. enjoy it .. its immense
